Decide first, what is your frame? What do you want to show in the picture?

Shoot horizontally if you want to show more things from left to right.
Shoot vertically if you want to show more things from top to bottom. 

Decide on the details you want to show. Then make your decision, horizontal or vertical.

ph3-5p. Horizontal or Vertical

Take pictures of four different subjects.
  1. Photograph two subjects that have mostly horizontal items. Example: a banana lying on a table or a car.
  2. Photograph two subjects that have primarily horizontal items. For example, a thin person standing or a tall building.
Study your results, send it in with 25-75 words about your observations.
