Lesson

ph3-4. Flat Sunlight

Place the subject directly into the sun to get the most light and the least amount of shadows.

The way to tell that is to look at your own shadow.

Have your shadow or your tripod pointing directly to the subject.

That will guarantee you’re getting the most light on your subject.

Practice

ph3-4p. Flat Sunlight

On a sunny day, take a picture early in the morning or late in the afternoon when the shadows are long.
  1. Take a picture with a wide angle of the subject showing the shadow of the tripod or the photographer pointing to the subject.
Study your results, send it in with 25-75 words about your observations.
