One of people's greatest fears is speaking in public. We take care of that on the first lesson. Speaking covers a wide range of self-promotion uses including the 10 second "elevator speech," a 50 word video pitch, speaking at an event from 5:00 or 50:00. HOW IT WORKS This is a hands-on workshop. You will receive a brief lecture on how to get started. After that, you will get started planning, writing, and delivering a one-two minute speech. All in one class. HOW THIS CORSE DIFFERS FROM TOASTMASTERS This is about private one-on-one online coaching. Your learning pace is much faster than a weekly group meeting. Toastmasters created a system that worked beautifully for 100 years. To polish your act, you will need training to organize your thoughts Private lessons cannot replace physically speaking and practicing before a live audience. However, where private coaching comes in is in the preparation of your speech. You must train to laser focus on your message. To effectively do that in Toastmasters it would be necessary to practice in front of the group several times, the same speech. And that can take a couple of months. With private training, it takes three sessions which can be achieved in one week simply by scheduling the time. You will be top quality evaluations with each session. So that it is easy to remember your key points. Once you have that, you practice to make sure you have your timing ready. You must learn that no matter what distractions you have, or how much your audiences loves your speech, you must end on time. PREREQUISITES A solid ability to read and understand English. If you already have that, speaking will come easy. You need to be in a friendly comfortable situation where you can practice - and get good training. WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS TRAINING
