Solo Creator

I was a loner, even before I learned the pleasures of being a long-distance runner.

Somehow that led to the delights of being a long-distance traveler, which turned into a not-lonely-at-all career creating travel features, first photographing, then adding writing, which morphed into cinematic skills, and lately into designing and building a portable art gallery/theater so I can exhibit my work anywhere at any time.

That led me to refine and manufacture the items I wanted to make. Instead of hanging out with other lone cowboy travel photographers, I sought solace with engineers who could explain things like "torque," which I learned they could actually calculate with pencil and paper, and why my stand-up invention falls over and how to fix it.

Today, I am still a loner, and have worked for decades and decades in some 42 or so countries, always traveling alone, picking up an assistant here, a translator there, advisors everywhere, and somewhere on the planet, an editor, and even a client. So technically, I guess you could say, I never really work alone.
