Your Public Speaking Coach
WHY TAKE THIS PUBLIC SPEAKING COURSE
One of people's greatest fears is speaking in public. We take care of that on the first lesson.
Public speaking covers a wide range of self-promotion uses including the 10 second "elevator speech," a 50 word video pitch, speaking at an event from 5:00 or 50:00.
HOW IT WORKS
This is a hands-on workshop. You will receive a brief lecture on how to get started. After that, you will get started planning, writing, and delivering a one-two minute speech. All in one class.
HOW THIS COURSE DIFFERS FROM TOASTMASTERS
This is about private one-on-one online coaching. You will learn much faster than in a weekly or semi-weekly group meeting.
Toastmasters created a system that worked beautifully for 100 years. Private lessons cannot replace physically speaking and practicing before a live large audience.
However, where private coaching comes in is in the preparation of your speech. You must train to laser focus on your message. To effectively do that in Toastmasters, it would be necessary to practice the same speech in front of the group several times. And that can take a couple of months. Private training takes three sessions, which can achieve in one week simply by scheduling the time. You will be given top-quality evaluations with each session.
So that it is easy to remember your key points. Once you have that, you practice ensuring you have your timing ready. You must learn that no matter what distractions you have or how much your audience loves your speech, you must end on time.
If you can order at a McDonald's, you qualify.
