How to Take Better Pictures

Lesson 120. Micro Lenses

SCRIPT
Video and mobile phone cameras can shoot close-up.

But for a DSL camera you’ll need a micro lens. They’re available in different lengths. We’ll use the two most common, the 60mm and 105mm. Both are razor sharp.

Here is the 105mm micro lens. It also is an excellent portrait lens.
It creates a telephoto portrait type affect even just two feet from the subject.

This is the 60mm lens shot at the same distance but the angle is twice as wide.

Include micro close-ups with your vacation and story-telling pictures. It adds variety and no other media captures detail like a micro lens shot.
