How to Take Better Pictures

Lesson 113. Flair

SCRIPT
Shooting into the sun causes what’s called, “flair.”

This flair can have a dramatic effect. Flair also wipes out your details.

So, if you want to wipe out the details, shoot with the light right into the camera.
VIDEO
PRACTICE
Shoot in the morning or late afternoon on a bright day when the light is low in the sky and can point right into the camera.
  1. Take a picture of yourself with a bright light going directly into the camera lens.
Study your results. Write in 25-75 words your observations in your Progress Report.
