Being a model in Paris sounds like a dream. And it is - if you are getting the work.

And the same goes for the fashion show photographer - if you are getting "le badge." That is the carte blanche ticket to get into every show, so you can hustle editors who hire only photographers who can get in to every show.

Otherwise, getting in takes more imagination than hopping onto a crowded boat and hoping it doesn't sink before you reach your destination. 

I have worked fashion season without a badge when I first started and with one as I shmoozed my way around. But once you get in, it is like actually being invited to a party. ​
